Black watch check
- The iconic House Check cashmere scarf in dark marine blue, made in Scotland at a mill founded in 1797. The check draws inspiration from the historic Black Watch tartan, worn by the Scottish regiment who watched over the Highlands in the 18th century, and has been featured in Burberry collections since the 1960s. Woven on traditional looms, the scarf takes more than 30 steps to complete. The fabric is washed in local spring water and brushed with teasels – dried flowers that are drawn along the surface of the cashmere to ‘raise’ the cloth, creating a natural lustre and ultra-soft finish.
